Madge Cummins

Madge Cummins of Uvalde passed away on May 18, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 96. She was born on September 1, 1915 in Des Arc, Missouri to Perry and Mary Clifton Reed. She married Taylor Cummins in Hondo on August 29, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Irene Walden and husband, Dean of Travelers Rest, S. Carolina sister, Edna Vickers and sisterinlaw, Isabel Reed, both of Uvalde one grandson, Rex McWilliams and wife, Joann two greatgrandsons, Elijah Taylor McWilliams and Noah Madison McWilliams and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Halsell and three brothers, Raymond Reed, Royce Reed, and Charles Reed. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Baptist Temple Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Tony Gruben will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul Tarski George Verdon Joel Goode Harold Eaker Edwin Sasek and Richard Marlin. Honorary pallbearers are Douglas Averill, Bob Copenhaver, Jim Turner and members of the Uvalde Police Dept. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Baptist Temple Church.
