Mae Elizabeth Zinsmeister of Knippa passed away on June 24, 2009 in Hill Country Rehab and Nursing Center in Gonzales, Texas at the age of 95. She was born on January 22, 1914 in Somerset, TX to John and Annie Collins Heickman. She married Charlie Zinsmeister in Hondo on April 6, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by a daughter; Shirley Frazier and husband, David of Gonzales, TX; son; Hubert Zinsmeister and wife, Wanda of Knippa, Texas; two sisters, Alice McKenzie of Austin, TX; and Lorene Culliton of Bakersfield, CA; two grandchildren, Dave Frazier and wife, Alicia; and Charlene Henke and husband, Bobby; six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Preston, and Maeson Frazier; Hayden, Heath, and Hunter Henke. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Janie Ellis; brother, Fred Heickman; and stepmother, Hulda Hardt Heickman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa with burial to follow in Knippa Cemetery. Pastor Daryl Knox will officate. Pallbearers will be Dave Frazier, Bobby Henke, Rodney Reagan, Bob Reagan, Juan Antonio Guerrero, and Ricky Gembler. Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa.
