Maidie Nance

Maidie Bernice Nance of Uvalde passed away on January 8, 2009 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 99. She was born on October 6, 1909 in Uvalde County to Arthelda and Myrtle Milam. She married Alva H. Nance on May 26, 1928 in Uvalde, Texas. She is survived by one son; William C. Nance of Uvalde, Texas; six grandsons; William C. Nance and wife, Anne Robin of Orlando, Florida; John A. Nance and wife, Kelley of George West, Texas; James T. Nance and wife, Kathy; and Gerry E. Nance all of San Antonio, Texas; Robert M. Nance and wife, Jacquie A. of Pensacola, Florida; and Richard W. Nance of Blanco, Texas; six great grandchildren; Katee, Meagan, Parker, Tyler, Hollie E. and Terence C. Nance; one sister-in-law; Jeanie Milam of Uvalde, Texas; one daughter-in-law; Gloria P. Nance of Blanco, Texas; and one cousin; Steve Hoag and wife, Bettie of Uvalde, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son; Robert M. Nance; three brothers; Ralph, Ryan, and Gene Milam, and one grandson; Raymond W. Nance. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM in Sabinal Cemetery.
