Manuel Galvan

Manuel H. Galvan of Uvalde passed away on June 24, 2009 in his residence at the age of 86. He was born on March 10, 1923 in Cuencame Durango, Mexico to Ecliserio and Silviana Galvan. He is survived by one daughter; Sylvia Velasquez and husband, Gilbert of Victoria, Texas; two sons; Jesse Galvan and wife, Sandra and Jose Galvan and wife, Sandra all of Uvalde, Texas; two sisters; Petra Galvan and Martha Galvan both of Cuencame Durango, Mexico; one brother; Manuel Hernandez of Cuencame Durango, Mexico; grandchildren; Brandy, Kevyn Glynn, and Jesse Galvan Jr., Gabriela, Kathy, and Ruben Villarreal and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Amalia Blanco; and granddaughter; Margarita Cardona Flores. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
