Manuel Martinez Jr.

Manuel Martinez Jr. of Uvalde passed on March 15, 2014 at University Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 38. He was born on May 25, 1975 in Uvalde to Manuel and Sonia Olivia Garcia Martinez. He married Maria Alvarez on November 2, 1996 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 17 years parents all of Uvalde grandmother, Adela Tejerina of Dilley sons Nickolus Ryan Martinez and Aiden Emmanuel Martinez sister, Elena Alvarez all of Uvalde brother, Jesus Carlos Garcia of Washington mother in law, Maria Alvarez of Uvalde and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Santos Tijerina and fatherinlaw, Pedro Alvarez. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and a vigil on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
