Manuel Pargas

Manuel B. Pargas of La Pryor passed away on May 30, 2009 in Rio Grande Medical Center in McAllen, Texas at the age of 61. He was born on October 6, 1947 in Stewart, Minnesota to Ramon and Locadia Pargas. He married Gloria Casarez on July 4, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his wife Gloria Casarez of La Pryor, Texas; four daughters; Adelita Pargas of Le Sueur, Minnesota; Leocadia Pargas of Waller, Texas; Natalia Pargas of Mission, Texas; and Martha Alejandra Pargas of Le Center, Minnesota; one son; Manuel Pargas Jr. of Edinburg, Texas; two sisters; Francisca Lopez and Maria Alvarado both of La Pryor, Texas; four brothers; Ramon Pargas of San Antonio, Texas; Jose Pargas of La Pryor, Texas; Arturo Basaldua of Batesville, Texas; and Andres Del Toro of Hereford, Texas; twenty grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, three brothers, and one sister. A rosary will be held on Monday and a prayer service on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM in La Pryor Cemetery.
