Manuela Gardea

Manuela Gardea of Uvalde passed away on June 3, 2011 in Uvalde at the age of 89. She was born on August 12, 1921 in San Isidro, Coahuila, Mexico to Tranquilino and Severita Davila Bijarro. She married Manuel Gardea on August 12, 1937 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. She is survived six daughters, Lydia Valero of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico Severita Fraire of Uvalde, Texas Armandina Ortega of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico Josepha De La Garza of Uvalde, Texas Mari Cruz Riojas of Eagle Pass, Texas and Alma Leticia Fuentes of Denton, Texas four sons, Ignacio Gardea of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico Victor M. Gardea of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico Francisco Gardea of Dallas, Texas and Hector M. Gardea of Uvalde, Texas 56 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and four brothers. A rosary will be held on Sunday at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas will burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Fuentes, Hector Gardea, Albert De La Garza, Francisco Gardea, Bobby Valdez and Jose Riojas
