Manuela Rodriguez

Mrs. Manuela C. Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 88. Mrs. Rodriguez was born on December 23, 1926 in Uvalde to Francisco and Francisca (Gomez) Castro. Mrs. Rodriguez married Vicente Rodriguez on July 6, 1942 in Uvalde. She is survived by one daughter, Rosa Maria Ybarra and husband Ramon of Hondo; three sons, Roberto C. Rodriguez and wife Maria; Vicente Rodriguez, Jr. and Armando C. Rodriguez and companion Emma all of Uvalde; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Rodriguez is preceded in death by her husband Vicente Rodriguez Sr., daughter, Rachel Rodriguez; great-great-grandson Camden Jaie Sanchez.
A vigil and rosary will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ramon Ybarra Jr., Randy Ybarra, Vicente H. Rodriguez, James H. Rodriguez,Sergio Ybarra, Joe Byers and Armando Rodriguez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
