Marcelina Rojas

Marcelina G. Rojas of La Pryor passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. Mrs. Rojas was born on June 4, 1923 in Luis Moya, Durango, Mexico to Tomasa (Saucedo) and Juan Gramillo. She married Jose Pilar Rojas on March 3, 1943 in Ignacio Allende, Durango, Mexico. Mrs. Rojas is survived by one daughter; Maria Del Socorro Rosas of La Pryor; five sons; Ignacio Rojas and wife Maria Guadalupe; Jose Francisco Rojas, Jr.; Jorge Luis Rojas and wife Gloria; and Juan Jose Rojas and wife Anna all of La Pryor; and Gilberto Rojas and wife Elena of Garland; twenty-eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rojas was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter-in-law Olga Rojas and son-in-law Martin Rosas. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at La Pryor Cemetery. Fr. Gustavo Ortega will officiating.
