Marcos Gonzales Enriquez

Marcos Gonzales Enriquez, 79, of Uvalde passed away on April 20, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.  

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.   A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.   Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  

He was born on August 6, 1944, in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Margarita (Gonzales) and Pedro Enriquez.  

He is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Escamilla of San Antonio, Consuelo Enriquez of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Maribel De La Cerda and husband, Fortunato, Jr., of San Antonio; son, Juan Manuel Enriquez and wife, Mary of Damon, Texas; two sisters, Margarita Robinson of Uvalde and Maria Alma Valdez of Hutto; three brothers, Juan Enriquez of San Jose, California, Rodolfo Enriquez of Uvalde and Alejandro Enriquez of Hobbs, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lamar Rodriguez; grandson, DeMarcus Angelo Estelle, great grandson, Julius Michael De La Cerda; two sisters, Esmeralda Enriquez and Guadalupe Del Toro; and three brothers, Luis Enriquez, Pedro Enriquez, and Pantaleon Enriquez. 

Pallbearers will be John Marcus De La Cerda, Cesar Rodriguez, Michael J. De La Cerda, Nickolas D. Enriquez, Nathaniel Escamilla, John Enriquez, David Enriquez, and Matthew De La Cerda
