Marcos Garcia

Marcos E. Mark Garcia of Uvalde passed away on December 29, 2007 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. He was born on February 19, 1933 in Poth, TX to Marcos and Nicomedes Garcia. He married Maggie Diaz on January 26, 1980 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 27 years; sons, Richard Castellano and Mark C. Garcia, both of San Antonio; daughters, Kathleen Jones and husband, Gary Dean Jones, Sr. of Trussville, Alabama and Mona Sandoval and husband, Adolf of San Antonio; brother, Manuel Garcia of San Antonio; and sisters, Olivia Upp of Copperas Cove, TX; and Lillian Barnes and Nickey Delao, both of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Daniel and Victor Garcia; and a son, Tommy Dean Garcia Calhoun. Mr. Garcia was the owner of Mark's Refrigeration for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007, at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery.
