Marcos Hill

Marcos Hill of Uvalde passed away on May 4, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 86. He was born on March 31, 1933 in Uvalde to Guillermo Hernandez and Maria Loretta (Tailes) Hill.

He married Rosa C. Morales in Uvalde on January 2, 1969. He served in the Marines for over 7 years. Marcos was a member of the Knights of Columbus, United Automobile Workers and VFW.

Marcos is survived by his wife of 50 years of Uvalde; daughters, Linda Hill Mejia and husband, Joaquin of Plano, Sylvia Hill De Leon and husband, Carlos of Kyle and Melissa Morales Hill of Uvalde; son, Joseph Morales Hill and wife, Kimberly of Freeland, Michigan; sister, Anita Hill of Pearsall; grandchildren, Adriana Mejia and husband, Victor Amaya of Aurora, Illinois, Cassandra Mejia, Isidoro Mejia both of Plano, Illinois, Arcelia De Leon, Analisa De Leon, and Alejandro De Leon all of Kyle, Angel Hill Pena, Dominic Hill Pena, and Lila Hill all of Uvalde, Marcos Hill, and Cody Hill both of Freeland, Michigan; great grandson, Aron Amaya; special family friend, Analaura Nieto of Saginaw, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Loretta Lugo and Eufemia Garcia; brothers, Tomas Hill, Rodolfo Hill, and Marcelino Hill.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 9:15 a.m.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
