Margaret Duncan

Margaret R. Duncan of Uvalde passed away on August 8, 2011 at her residence at the age of 89. She was born on October 24, 1921 in San Antonio, TX to Marion and Carolina Flores Galindo. She married Jim L. Duncan on June 5, 1943 in Camp McCoy, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death along with her parents brothers, Adolph, Marion, Philip, and Ben Galindo and sister, Emma Jordan. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Aguilar and husband, Fred of Morristown, TN and Toni Duncan of Uvalde son, Les Duncan and wife, Carol of Hunt, TX grandchildren, Greg Aguilar and wife, Lupina and Carrie Aguilar all of Morristown, TN Danny Aguilar and wife, Gina of San Antonio Cindy Lambert and husband, Jarrett of Hunt, TX and Jennifer Kunkel of Needville, TX greatgrandchildren, Andrea, Marsha, Erika, and Vashty Aguilar Daniel Aguilar, Jr. Rebekah Perriraz, Glenn Perriraz, Stefanie Saldana, Taylor Kunkel, Kate Kunkel, Russ Lambert, and Edie Lambert sisters, Mary Moring of Floresville, TX Martha Vickery of Mangum, OK and Catherine Valdez and Patricia Gomez, both of San Antonio brother, Roger Galindo of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a member of the Council of Catholic Women VFW Post 4815 National Altar Society and Uvalde Quilting Club. She was a eucharistic minister and lector at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Uvalde and St. Leonards Catholic Church in San Antonio. A rosary will be held at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Aguilar Danny Aguilar Jarrett Lambert Glenn Perriraz Daniel Aguilar, Jr. and Russ Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Moring, Jr. George Jordan and Felipe Galindo.
