Margaret Raine

Margaret "Mimi" Raine of Uvalde passed away on October 21, 2018 at her residence at the age of 94. It was a beautiful sunny morning, she fell asleep in her bed at the home surrounded by family, which is the way she wanted it. She was born on July 15, 1924 in Uvalde County to Phillip and Reba ( Mason) Newell on July 15, 1924.
She married Charles Raine in Uvalde in 1942. She was old fashion which meant she worked hard, was honest in all her dealing and always put the other fellow first. You could always find her in her old beat up pickup at the farm cutting brush, tending to her goats, making sure the mama goats were taking care of their babies. She definitely made her mark on this world. So we're not saying good bye, but so long we'll catch you later.
She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Charles Raine of Uvalde; daughters, Pally Kitto and husband, Karl of Midland, Randall Davidson and husband, Bodie of Batesville, Charle Stewart and husband, Bubba of Harper and Alicia Raine of Uvalde; son, Mason Raine and wife, Kathy of Weatherford; brother, Sonny Newell and wife, Kathrine of Ballinger; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Uvalde.
