Margaret Thayer, 70, of Sabinal died October 22, 2021, at the Santa Rosa Northwest Hospital in San Antonio.
She was born on August 30, 1951, in San Antonio to Virgina (Harris) and Hubert William Beare.
Margaret was a teacher in Carrizo Springs and Uvalde for over 20 years and spent summers as the horseback riding director at Camp La Jita Girl Scout camp in Utopia, TX. She attended the Church of the Ascension in Montell, TX. Margie was also acted in several plays at the Uvalde Grand Opera House.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Albert Thayer of Sabinal; son Paul Thayer and wife, Elizabeth, of Manlius, New York; son Peter Thayer and wife Melinda stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany; son Nathaniel Thayer and wife Stephanie of Manor; daughter Tabitha Bomer and husband, Robert, of Utopia; grandchildren Daniel Oakes, Michalea Oakes, Harrison Walker Thayer, William Burns Thayer, Kathryn Marie Thayer, Rhys Michael Thayer, Emily Corinne Thayer, Evelyn Lily Thayer, Kyra Jocelyn Thayer, Kilian Patrick Thayer, Zane Marshall Pike, Corinne Mackenzi Thayer, Delilah Orchid Thayer, Maple Amber Bomer, and Hazel Emma Bomer; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Hubert William "Bill" BEARE Jr.; and sister Betty Jo Gunn.
A memorial is scheduled for 2 p.m., November 4, 2021, at the Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary.
