Margarita Rivas

Margarita G. Rivas of Uvalde passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Uvalde at the age 85. She was born on February 3, 1929 in Nixon, Texas to Aristeo and Concepcion Martinez Gonzlez. She is survived by three daughters, Blanca Zapata Margarita Rivas Flores and husband Carlos Laurentina Rivas Obregon and husband Refugio all of Uvalde son, Victor Rivas and wife Maria of Uvalde sister, Juanita Gonzlez of Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico thirteen grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Maria Elena Rivas, son Fernando Rivas, parents, sister, Rita Maldonado and brothers Juan Gonzlez and Felix Gonzlez. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles and a Vigil Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
