Margarita Zamarripa

Margarita R. Zamarripa of Uvalde passed away on May 4, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born on June 10, 1923 in Sabinal to Jesus and Maria Gonzalez Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughters Andrea Theisen and husband Bob, Gloria Zamarripa and Vicky Zamarripa all of Uvalde and Helen Velasquez of Victoria, sons Tony Zamarripa and wife Carmen and Chavelo Zamarripa and wife Teri all of Uvalde and brother Juan Rodriguez and wife Fina of Waseon, Ohio daughtersinlaw Olga Zamarripa of Austin and Elia Zamarripa of Uvalde, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 10 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan N. Zamarripa, sons Juan Zamarripa, Jr. and Camilo Zamarripa, sisters Petra Rodriguez and Guadalupe Alvarez, brothers Tomas Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Trinidad Trine Rodriguez, Francisco Pancho Rodriguez and Marcelino Rodriguez. A rosary will be held on Monday, May 5th at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Viola Russ, Veronica Zamarripa, Elena Jaime, Margarita Marisol Zamarripa, Elisa Margarita Zamarripa and Alyssa Segura.
