Margarito Gomez

Margarito G. Gomez of Uvalde passed away on March 31, 2017 at his residence at the age of 69. He was born on June 2, 1947 in Celaya, Guanajato, Mexico to Bernabe Gomez and Vicenta (Gonzales) Gomez. He married Elia Muniz on August 6, 1969 in Eagle Pass. He is survived by his wife of 47 years; two daughters, Lupita Flores and husband, Jesse of Uvalde and Patty Maltos and husband, Angel of San Antonio; three sisters, Amelia Munoz of Evanston, IL; and Carmela Vega and Isabel Patino, both of Mexico; two brothers, Jose Gomez of Evanston, IL and Adolfo Gomez of Mexico; three grandchildren, Jacob Margarito Flores, Ivan Angel Maltos, and Hugo Patrick Maltos; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Paula Delgado; brother, Pedro Gomez; and granddaughter, Deminika Guadalupe Flores. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse M. Flores, Angel Maltos, Valente Zavala, Juan Vega, Mark Hernandez, and Mark Kruciak. Honorary pallbearers will be his three grandchildren.
