Margie B. Horton of Uvalde passed away on July 14, 2018 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 95. She was born on February 17, 1923 in Rotan, TX to Benjamin Lee and Mary (McAlister) Lee. Margie was an amazing lady. She was a devoted Christian and loved her family dearly as well as her church family and many, many friends. She loved to crochet, quilt, and garden. She made so many beautiful things for family members as well as mowing her own grass up until she fell ill in March. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Casey and husband, Glenn of Uvalde and Faye Roberts and husband, Kenneth of Knippa; three sons, Lonnie Horton and wife, Millie, and Benny Horton and wife, Sandra, all of Uvalde; and Johnny Horton and wife, Linda of Kerrville; daughter-in-law, Dee Horton of Three Rivers, TX; and 31 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Noel Wilson Horton; second husband, Lenox Horton; daughters, Mary Moore and Carolyn Howard; sons, Jimmy Horton and Larry Horton; five brothers, three sisters; grandson, Steve Howard; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ with burial to follow in Uvalde Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Horton, Philip Horton, Carl Horton, Bobby Horton, James Horton, and Tim Horton. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Moore, Paul Horton, John Horton, Kenneth Roberts, Richard Roberts, Danny Roberts, Joey Casey, and Wesley Casey.
