Maria Rodriguez

Maria C. Rodriguez of Uvalde, Tx. passed away July13, 2007 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 87.

She was born Nov. 13, 1919 in Knippa, Tx. to Nicolas Margarita Cano. She married Jose Angel Rodriguez in Uvalde, Tx. on Aug. 22, 1943.

She is survived by daughters, Josie R. Cardenas of Rockfield, Ill.; Linda R. Sosa husband Juan of Uvalde, Tx.; son Leo Flores III wife Adrianna of Uvalde, Tx.; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Ray Cardenas, and great grandson Dewayne Neal.

A rosary will be held on Monday Tuesday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearer will be Robert Cardenas; Luis Martinez; Jose Sosa; Juan Sosa; Nick Guevara; and Leo Flores IV.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
