Maria Castanon

Maria Lidia S. Castanon of Uvalde, Tx. passed away June 30, 2007 at her residence at the age of 80.

She was born February 13, 1927 in Cameron County, Texas to Guadalupe Juana Salazar.

She is survived by daughters, Delma Jimenez of Uvalde, Tx.; Olga Garcia of Pharr, Tx.; Maria De Jesus Garcia De Lozano Marcia Leonor Garcia De Lozano, both of Mexico; sisters, Beatrice Almagor of San Antonio, Tx.; Guadalupe Castillo of Taft, Tx.; Alejandra Rosas of Victoria, Tx.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Castanon son, Ricardo Garcia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 3:00 pm at the Trinity Fellowship Church.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
