Maria Hernandez

Maria Del Carmen R. Hernandez of Uvalde passed away August 15, 2007 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.

She was born June 16, 1932 in Crystal City, Tx. to Marciel Camila Rodriguez.

She is survived by daughters, Guadalupe Hernandez; Beatrice Hernandez Gracie Lombrana, all of Uvalde, Tx. Yolanda Medina husband, John Cunningham of New Braunfels, Tx.; sons, Oscar Hernandez wife, Sylvia of Milwaukee, Wis.; Fernando Hernandez wife, Lynn of Minnesota; Steve Hernandez wife, Gloria of Bakersfield, Ca.; Jaime Hernandez wife, Lydia of New Braunfels, Tx.; Gustavo Hernandez of Marion, Tx.; sisters, Esperanza Velasquez of Uvalde, Tx. Juanita Ruiz of Big Wells, Tx.; brothers, Ascencion Rodriguez of Uvalde, Tx. Demetrio Rodriguez of San Antonio, Tx.; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norberto G. Hernandez, Sr.; son, Norberto R. Hernandez, Jr. 2 premature twin sons.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, Thursday Friday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Julian Medina; Javier Medina; Damien Hernandez; Jaime Hernandez, Jr.
