Maria Delgado

Maria Luevano Delgado of Uvalde entered into eternal peace on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Windcrest Health Care Center in Abilene at the age of 78.

She was born on January 19, 1935 in Eagle Pass to Agapito C Cleofas Rocha Luevano. She married Alfonso G Delgado in 1960, they were married 40 years

She is survived by her sons John wife Lydia of Angleton, Alfonso Jr wife Laura of Uvalde, Marcos wife Alicia of Uvalde and daughters Dolores husband Steve from Abilene and Debbie husband Michael of Abilene. Grandchildren Angelica, Alyssa, Andrea, Kristy, Johnny, Klarissa, Joshua, Joseph, Alfonso III, Marco Jr., Amanda, Myranda, Andrew Sierra, and Laurance 13 great grandchildren. Sister Rebecca Torres, brothers Rogelio, Agapito, Alfredo, Antonio, and Hector Luevano and numerous nieces nephews.

Maria was a long time resident of Uvalde, she graduated from Uvalde High School and retired from Texas Industrial. Her and husbands favorite passtime was siting in backyard enjoying the outdoors. She loved spending time with family and looked forward to getting picked up every weekend and attending various great grand childrens sporting events.

Mamu was preceded in death by her husband Alfonso G Delgado Papu, parents, sister Elena Aguilar, brothers Enrique Alfonzo Luevano. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. At Rushing EstesKnowles Chapel and services will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Marco Jr., Joshua, Johnny, Andrew, Joseph great grandson Eric. Honary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren.
