Maria Flores

Maria Guadalupe Juarez Flores of Uvalde passed away on April 1, 2017 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 73.
She was born on April 29, 1943 in Sabinal to Jesus Mata and Virginia (Garcia) Juarez. She married Reyes Flores on February 27, 1970 in Sabinal.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Rachel Melendez; son, Reyes J. Flores, Jr., all of Uvalde; sister, Petra J. Obregon of Pflugerville; brother, Joe Juarez of Uvalde and Benito Juarez of San Antonio; grandchildren, Valerie F. Ybarra, Elizabeth F. Ybarra, Evelyn F. Ybarra, Juan Paulo Ybarra, Jr. and Krisanta Melendez; great grandson, Tyler Holguin and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Raul Flores, Vicente Flores, Juan Hurtado, Jr., Leo Holguin, Jesus Vega and Johnny Obregon
