Maria Fernandez

Maria G. Fernandez of Uvalde passed away at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio on January 7, 2013 at the age of 74. She was born on November 29, 1938 in Crystal City to Cleto and Luisa Mendosa Martinez. She is survived by her daughter, Luvin Lopez and husband Arturo of San Antonio sons, Benny Arriola and wife Kathy of Houston, Joe G. Vasquez of Greely, Colorado, Eduardo Fernandez, Victor L. Fernandez and wife Jessica and Moses M. Fernandez and wife Elia all of Uvalde sisters, Victoria Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez both of Uvalde brothers, Juan Martinez of Florida, Anselmo Martinez of Uvalde and Anacleto Martinez Jr. both of Uvalde 27 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Benny Arriola Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Arriola Chris Arriola Moses Fernandez,Sr. Joe Vasquez Michael Lopez and Victor Fernandez, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Moses Fernandez, Jr. Jesse Fernandez Victor Fernandez, Jr. and Martin Vasquez.
