Maria Beatrice “Bea” Lara, 75, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
Bea was a vibrant and caring individual, known for her warm spirit and genuine kindness. She spent several years as a resident at Amistad Nursing Home, where her love for life shone through in every interaction. Bea had a passion for dancing and engaged enthusiastically in arts and crafts activities. She cherished the time spent with her sister, Elda, and welcomed conversations with everyone around her, making friends wherever she went.
Born on November 3, 1949, in Uvalde, Texas, Bea was the daughter of Aurora (Chapa) and Vincente Elizondo. Her joyful nature touched many lives and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Bea is survived by her beloved son, Carlos Lara, and his wife, Amanda, also of Uvalde; her sister, Elda Arnall and companion, Chris Gutierrez of Uvalde; and her two cherished grandchildren, Ethan Lara and Aydan Lara. She is also survived by her niece, Jennifer Walter of Richardson, and her nephews, Edgar Arnall of North Carolina and Chris Arnall of Cibolo.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Vincent Arnall.
Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
