Maria Lira

Maria Luisa Lira of Uvalde passed away on September 28, 2012 at Santa Rosa Christus Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 33. She was born on November 21, 1978 in Harlingen, Texas to Juan and Maria Anna Najera Lira. She is survived by her mother of Uvalde sisters, Cristina Villarreal and husband Guadalupe, Virginia Lira, both Uvalde, Angie Brumley and husband Paul and Juanita Lira both of Moses Lake, Washington, brothers, Paulo Lira and wife Ernestina and Domingo Lira and wife Maria Yolanda both of Uvalde, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Cristina Najera. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
