Maria Moreno

Maria Esther Moreno of Uvalde, Texas passed away on April 3, 2022 at her residence at the age of 74. She was born on September 17, 1947 in Uvalde, Texas to Eduviges and Lillie (Ochoa) Moreno.

She is survived by her sisters, Olga Carabajal of Uvalde, Rebecca Flores of San Antonio, Irene Reyes and Veronica Medina both of Uvalde; brother, Roland Moreno of Uvalde; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Rosario Escamilla.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aldo Flores, Sr., Ernest Flores, Jr., Jonathan Medina, Jake Quintanilla, Carlos Reyes, Jr., Carlos Reyes, Sr., John Reyes, and Mark Reyes.

Honorary pallbearer will be Luis Marin and Hector Sandoval.
