Maria Estela Quirova Ortiz

Maria Estela Quirova Ortiz, Age 91, died September 18, 2023, in West Linn, Oregon, surrounded by her remaining children.

Visitation will be held on Oct 5 at 2 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Oct 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. Her final resting place will be at La Pryor Cemetery alongside her husband of 58 years, Ramón Ortiz.

 She was born in 1932 to Agustina (Morales) and Pedro Perez Quirova in Uvalde, Texas

She was a devout Catholic and also a member of the Guadalupanas at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor, Texas, prior to moving to Austin, Texas in 2007.

She is survived by her sons Saturnino Ortiz, Ramón Ortiz, Jr., Armando (Reyna) Ortiz and daughters Maria Elena (Chris) Gaona, Genoveva (John)Jolley, and Viviana Ortiz. Maria also had many beloved, grand, great and great-great-grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Ramón Ortiz and sons Jose Luis Ortiz and Alejandro Ortiz.
