Maria Pruneda

Maria Estella Sosa Pruneda of Uvalde passed away on August 16, 2016 at her residence at the age of 70. She was born on September 12, 1945 in Camp Wood to Juan and Andrea (Ruiz) Sosa. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Pruneda of San Antonio; sons, Danny Pruneda of San Antonio, Darrell Deason of Uvalde; sisters, Aida Menchaca of Carrizo Springs, Vicki Valencia of San Antonio; brother, Juan R. Sosa, Jr. of Uvalde and Hector Sosa of Austin; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pruneda was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ruben R. Sosa. A rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
