Maria Ramirez

Maria De Jesus Ramirez of Uvalde passed away on March 6, 2017 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born on January 6, 1927 in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico to Andres and Porfiria (Perez) Ramirez. She married Margarito Ramirez on December 22, 1946 in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico.
She is survived by her daughter, Juana Alicia Elizondo and husband, Ernesto; sons, Miguel Luna Ramirez and wife, Maria of Uvalde; Manuel Luna and wife, Alma Rosa of Nava, Coahuila, Mexico and Gerardo Luna of Uvalde; brothers, Felipe Ramirez and wife, Belia and Francisco Ramirez and wife, Rita all of Nava, Coahuila, Mexico; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Pedro Ramirez.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Elizondo, Jr., Gerardo Luna, Jr., Julia Cesar Luna, Miguel Luna, Manuel Luna, and Marcos Luna.
