Maria Rodriguez

Maria M. Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on Wednesday, October 07, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 78. Miss Rodriguez was born on April 11, 1937 in Knippa to Benjamin and Bertha (Mata) Rodriguez. She is survived by sister, Gloria R. Luna and husband Ernesto E. of Uvalde; nieces, Kristine L. Navarro and husband Ricardo of San Antonio, Lorena L. Ramos and husband Patricio of Houston, Stacy R. Ozment and husband Robert of Silverdale, WA and Tina Rodriguez and companion David Cruz of Kyle; nephews, Ernie R. Luna and wife Marisa P. of Boerne, Manuel O. Luna and companion Claudia Calderón of San Antonio; twenty-five great nieces and nephews and many first cousins and cousins. Miss Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Alicia Rodriguez, brother Manuel Rodriguez and nephew Armando Rodriguez Jr..
A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Navarro Jr., Ernie Luna, Manuel O. Luna, PJ Ramos, Jonathan Luna and Rigo Leija. Honorary pallbearers are Ricardo Navarro Sr. and Patricio Ramos.
