Maria Rubio

Maria Rubio of Uvalde passed away on February 14, 2014 in Uvalde at the age of 67. She was born on November 24, 1946 in La Pryor to Genaro and Francisca Ortiz Perez. She married Leocadio Rubio, Sr. in Uvalde on March 3, 1971. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, daughter Marisa Rubio, son Leocadio Rubio, Jr. and his wife Nati all of Uvalde, sisters Eva Moreno, Celia Ortiz both of La Pryor, and Diana Ramos of Fort Morgan, Colorado 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lupe Casares, brothers Elias Perez, Genaro Perez, Jr., and Arturo Perez. A rosary will be held on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
