Maria Martinez

Maria Teresa Martinez of Uvalde passed away on July 31, 2013 a St. Lukes Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 79. She was born on September 26, 1933 to Pedro and Zoila Estrada Torres. She is survived by her husband, Elisaldo Chaldo G. Martinez of Uvalde daughters, Nancy Suarez and husband Juan of San Antonio and Norma Martinez Garcia and husband Joe of Uvalde son, Chaldo Martinez Jr. and wife Cynthia of Mission sisters, Dora Canales of Rio Frio and Zoila Gonzales of Uvalde brothers, Ernesto Torres of San Antonio and Raul Torres of Uvalde 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren 2 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Guillermo Torres, Raymond Torres and Pedro Torres. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Templo Cristiano Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Oscar Albarado, Emmanuel Albarado, Jacob Albarado, Joe Adrian Garcia, Mark Montes and Erik Elemen. Honorary pallbearers will be Angela Elemen, Monique Suarez, Trisha Gomez, Deandra Garcia, Marleina Martinez, Madeline Martinez, Mariah Martinez.
