Maria Villarreal

Maria De La Luz Nandin Villarreal of Uvalde passed away on January 18, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 86. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Del Rio to Joaquin and Carlota (Martinez) Nandin.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosa E. Balfour of San Antonio; sons, Jesse Villarreal and wife, Celia Rodriguez of Carrizo Springs, John Villarreal and wife, Sherri of Katy, Baldomero Villarreal of San Antonio and Joe Villarreal of Uvalde; 9 grandchildren, Joe Martinez and companion, Patty, Charles Martinez and wife, Frieda, James Villarreal and companion, Kim, Guy Billings and partner, Jim Gerhold, Marissa Villarreal and wife, Avery, Lisa Greenbauer and husband, Ryan, Sebastion Villarreal, Jescelyn Villarreal and Brandon Villarreal; 4 great grandchildren, Hunter Martinez, Jesse Villarreal, Timothy Martinez and Jared Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Longoria Villarreal; daughter, Oralia Villarreal, sisters, Jesusita Martinez and Concepcion Rodriguez; brothers, Felix Nandin, Esmael Nandin, Evelio Nandin, Gonzalo Nandin, Estanislado Nandin, and Usbaldo Nandin
A rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Villarreal, John Villarreal, Joe Villarreal, Baldomero Villarreal, Charles Martinez, Guy Billings, Brando Villarreal, Marissa Villarreal, and Jescelyn Villarreal.
It was Mrs. Villarreal's wish that everyone wear red to her funeral.
