Maria De Jesus Navarro

Maria De Jesus Navarro of Uvalde passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 in San Antonio at Southwest General Hospital at the age of 86.

Mrs. Navarro was born on January 29, 1935 in Palau, Coahuila, Mexico to Domingo and Maria De Guadalupe (Cadena) Castillo.

She married Valeriano P. Navarro on September 30, 1954 in Palau, Coahuila, Mexico.

Mrs. Navarro is survived by two daughters, Pura Elizalde and husband Jose Luis and Elva Sorola and husband Gustavo all of Uvalde: two sons, Amador Navarro of Odessa and Fernando C. Navarro and wife Norma of Venus, Texas; sister, Sara Benitez of Palau, Coahuila, Mexico; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 starting at 5:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
