Mariana Moreno

Mariana Moreno of Uvalde passed away on March 12, 2017 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 85. She was born on May 30, 1931 to Don Mateo Leal and Anselma Velasquez Leal.
She is survived by five sisters; Teresa Rodriguez of San Antonio, Roselia Gonzales of Uvalde, Altagracia Angeles of Uvalde, Socorro Castillo of Uvalde and Josefa Sanchez of Uvalde; two sons, Gilbert Moreno and Ricardo Moreno and wife, Dora Ruiz, both of Uvalde; seven grandchildren, Ricardo Moreno, Jr., Joey Cantu, and Arturo Moreno, all of Uvalde; Christina Gonzales of Arlington; and Isaac Moreno, Maricella Moreno, and Matthew Moreno, all of San Antonio; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcos Moreno, grandson, Paul Moreno; great grandson, Christian Moreno; two sisters, Gloria Looney and Alicia Leal; three brothers, Refugio Leal, Pablo Leal and Ernesto Leal. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Moreno, Jr., Arturo Moreno, Matthew Moreno, Brianna Nicole Campbell, Jocelyn Moreno, Brian Troupe and Maricella Moreno.
