Marion Joe Wiebush of Uvalde passed away into the arms of his loving father on June 3, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 81. He was born on January 27, 1938 in Three Rivers, Texas. Known as Tuck to all who knew him, he was the younger son of Kathleen (Dillahunty) and Lee Wiebush and had an older brother LeMoey “Sonny” Wiebush. They moved to Uvalde when he was three years old. He played baseball and was an ace pitcher for the Uvalde Coyotes. He loved fishing in Red River, New Mexico where he went every summer growing up. He continued the summer vacations to Red River with his own family. He loved watching sports of all kinds but he especially loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Astros.
He loved spending time with his family who he loved dearly. He prayed daily for all of his grandchildren to know and follow Christ so he will see them again one day. He loved God and was the greatest example to all of his family on how to live your life for Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Patsie Langford Wiebush of Uvalde, 60 years as of May 29, 2019; his daughter ,Vicki Sanchez and husband, Jim of San Antonio; sons, Milton Wiebush and wife, Sherri, Alan Wiebush and wife, JoEllen all of San Antonio, and; sisters in law, Clarisie Harrell and Marilyn Langford both of Uvalde; eight grandchildren, Zachary Sanchez, Sara Sanchez, Emma Wiebush, Katie Wiebush, Madison Wiebush, Gretchen Baker, Bridget Baker and Cooper Wiebush, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becki Ann Wiebush, his parents, Lee and Kathleen Wiebush; his brother, LeMoey “Sonny” Wiebush and wife, Alberta; his father-in-law, Howard Milton Langford, his mother-in-law, Clar Virginia Langford ; his brothers-in-law, Howard Taylor Langford and Jimmy Wynn Harrell.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Getty Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Uvalde Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be H.T. Langford, Lane Langford, Barry Balzen, Louie Beltran, Leonard Poehler, and Vann McElroy.
