Marisol Martinez

Marisol L. Martinez of Uvalde passed away on February 5, 2018 at her residence at the age of 42. She was born on October 4, 1975 in Uvalde to Jose Contreras Martinez and Eusevia Lira.
She is survived by her mother, Eusevia Lira Fernandez of Uvalde; father, Jose Contreras Martinez of Uvalde; companion, Carlos Sanchez, Jr. of Uvalde; sons, Cristian Alexander Sotelo and Juan Miguel Lumbreras both of Uvalde; sisters, Cynthia Martinez and Josephine Lara and husband, Eddie all of Uvalde; brother, Antonio Martinez and wife, Mickey of Uvalde; in laws, Carlos and Esperanza Sanchez of Uvalde; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Sgt. Jose C. Martinez, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Cecilio and Juanita Lira and paternal grandparents, Sixto and Eusevia Martinez
A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing - Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aron Lara, Mathew Lara, Cristian Sotelo, Juan Lumbreras, T.J. Martinez, Robert Martinez, Sixto Martinez, Hector S. Valdez, Shane A. Medrano, Christopher Esparza, Eddie Munoz, Jr., Victor Cardenas, Lee Esparza and Rodrigo Rodriguez, Jr.
