Marjorie Hurley

Marjorie Jean Niggli Hurley of Concan passed away on November 3, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 90.  She was born on July 12, 1929 in Concan to Harry and Elizabeth “Lizzy”(Binnie) Niggli.

Marjorie attended Sabinal High School and graduated in 1946.  She went on to continue her education at Sul Ross University at Alpine and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1952.

Marjorie married Lawrence E. Hurley on February 24, 1953. She was a military housewife for over 20 years.

She is survived by her sister in law, Catherine Niggli of Arlington; nieces and nephews, Debbie Sciba and husband, Jim of Concan, Melba Powell and husband, Mark of San Antonio; Becky Nelson and husband, Speck of Concan; William B. Niggli of Uvalde; Sonny Dunham and wife, Lindi of DeQuincy, Louisiana; great nieces and nephews, Matthew Powell and wife, Lisa, Collin Powell and wife, Lauren, Jess Powell, Jennifer Snow and husband, Terry, Ryan Snow, Colton Snow, Karen Nelson, Jace Nelson, Nicole Corwin and husband, Brooks, Odette Brooks, Beau Pintor and husband, Chris and Theodore Pintor; nephew in law, Karl Hilthon and wife, Kelly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, William H. Niggli, Edwin E. Niggli, Alice Niggli, Maxine Niggli, and Betty Sue Niggli; niece, Suzan Hilthon and nephew, James Niggli.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Rio Frio Cemetery in Rio Frio, Texas.
