Marlene Valdez

Marlene Bailey Valdez of Uvalde passed away on March 9, 2007 in Methodist Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio at the age of 71. She was born in Bay City, TX on December 17, 1935. She is survived by her husband, Hector Valdez of Uvalde; daughter, Cheyenne Perez of Uvalde; stepdaughter, Mary Enriquez and husband, Johnny of Richmond, TX; son, John Simpson and wife, Lynn of Batesville; stepson, Hector Valdez, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Uvalde; sister, Mary Ann Routh of Uvalde; nine grandchildren, John Simpson II and Jennifer Simpson; Michael Perez; Megan, John Matthew, and David Enriquez; and Josh, Dakota, and Angel Valdez; two nieces, Sherry Betts and husband, Rick of Uvalde and Mindy Flint and husband, Billy of Boerne. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Leakey Cemetery. Rev. James Ham will officiate.
