Marta Ruiz

Ms. Marta Cardona Ruiz of Uvalde passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home at the age of 86. Ms. Ruiz was born on July 15, 1932 in Uvalde to Pedro S. and Vidala (Cardona) Ruiz. She is survived by her son Joe Ruiz and wife, Norma; grandchildren Joey Ruiz, Diego Ruiz, Dara Ruiz, and Klara Ruiz, great grand-daughter Joanna Ruiz; and sister-in-law Ramona Ruiz, all of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ninfa Ruiz, Esther Ruiz, and Maria Flores; brother, Juan Ruiz; and nephews, Ruben Ruiz and Samuel Flores.
Ms. Ruiz will have a prayer service Monday, September 17, 2018, at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:30 am at Templo Cristiano with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Ruiz, Frank Flores, Joey Ruiz, Diego Ruiz, Kaleb Castillo, Karloz Castillo, Alex Flores, Mel Flores, Nathan Flores and Ruben Ruiz.
