Martha Christian

Martha Louise Christian of Uvalde passed away on December 24, 2009 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 62. She was born on February 8, 1947 in Many, LA to Arthur and Amanda Slay Wagley. She married Lewis Christian on June 11, 1968 in Salt Lake City, UT. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dr. Lewis Christian of Uvalde, Texas; four daughters; Lizette Morgan of Uvalde, Texas; Gina Marie Joens of Hartley, Texas; Anna Christian of San Antonio, Texas; Kathryn Allan of Liberty Township, Ohio; two sons; Lewis Christian III of Boerne, Texas; Jacob Christian of Mexico; one sister; Dinah Wagley of Bakersfield, CA; two brothers; Mack Wagley of Conroe, Texas; and Charles Wagley of Longview, Texas; twenty-one grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Page Wagley; and son, Matthew Alden Christian. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery in McAllen, Texas. Pallbearers will be Cameron Morgan, Mark Morgan II, Isaac Christian, James Joens, Matthew Christian, and Jacob Christian.
