Martina Medina

Martina P. Medina of Sabinal passed away on November 7, 2009 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 72. She was born on October 23, 1937 in Sonora, Texas. She married Paulino Medina in Sabinal on February 6, 1962. She is survived five daughters; Frances Tellez and husband, Robert of Modesta, CA; Isabel Walker and husband, David; Josie De Leon and husband, Mark; and Jessica Marie Medina all of Sabinal, Texas; and Norie Montanez and husband, Gabriel of Hondo, Texas; two sons; Paulino Medina Jr. and wife, Elsa of Hondo, Texas; and Juan Antonio Medina and wife, Norma of D'Hanis, Texas; one sister; Angelita R. Jimenez of San Antonio, Texas; one brother; Ramiro Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Paulino Medina; mother and step-father; Refugia Puente and Antero Ramirez; one brother; Francisco Ramirez. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Sabinal. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in Sabinal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Noel Medina, Christopher Ballesteros, John Robison, Matthew Caballero, Raul Arriola Jr., and Gabriel Montanez.
