Marvin Buttler

Marvin Ray Buttler of Kerrville, formally of Uvalde, passed away at Kindred Hospital in San Antonio on Thursday December 15, 2011 at the age of 82. He was born on November 1, 1929 in Dabney, Texas to Dewey and Loreet Spencer Buttler. He married Margie Taylor in Hondo, Texas on July 8, 1949. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, daughters, Deborah K. Gentry and husband Ray of Germantown, Tennessee Vicki Jean McMahan and husband Mike of Atlanta, Georgia, son, Toby Ray Buttler and wife Victoria of Austin, Texas, sister, Patsy McNeil of Corpus Christi, Texas, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carrol Buttler. Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rushing Estes Knowles Chapel in Uvalde, Texas. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
