Mary Chapoy

Mary V. Chapoy of Uvalde passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 73. Mary was born on September 9, 1943 in Uvalde to Julia (Lopez) and Jose Vasquez. She married Jimmy Chapoy on July 19, 1966 in Uvalde, Texas. Mary retired from Rexall Drug after 45 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Chapoy of Uvalde; son, Jimmy Chapoy Jr. of Uvalde; two grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Chapoy and Benjamin Santiago Chapoy of Uvalde; one brother, Hector Vasquez and wife Martha of Uvalde; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A rosary will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 and Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Adolpho "Dundee" Chapoy, Ernest Vasquez, Marco Vasquez, Michael Vasquez, Hector Escamilla and Rene Romero.
Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
