Mary Davenport

Mary M. Davenport of Uvalde passed away on August 18, 2008 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 87. She was born on November 28, 1920 in Artesia Wells, TX to Joseph Edward and Lucy Davis Winters. She married Albert N. Davenport on February 14, 1940 in Franklin, Texas. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Ned Davenport and wife, Lori of Leakey; and Bobby Davenport and wife, Liz of Uvalde; stepson, Albert Davenport and wife, Norva of Gordon, TX; seven grandchildren, Amanda Davenport, Jessica Green, Leslie Davenport, Steven Davenport, Shane Davenport, Janet Volz, and Boyd Booker; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Russel Booker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Dwight Babcock will officiate.Pallbearers will be Ned Davenport, Bobby Davenport, Shane Davenport, Steven Davenport, Ryan Cox, and Bubba Chisum.
