Mary Garza

Mary Helen Garza of Uvalde passed away on March 9, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 63. She was born on September 19, 1951 in Waxahachie, Texas to David and Remedios (Garza) Acosta. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Gomez; mother, daughters, Angelica Maria Ramirez and husband Jesus, Carolina Isabel Alaniz and companion Felix Ruiz Jr., all of Uvalde, Jessica Linda Garza and companion Dana Mobley of Houston, and Louisana Mia Garza and companion Cali Gonzalez of San Antonio; son, Johnny Joe Garza Jr. and wife Susana Vasquez of Uvalde; sister, Silvia Aguallo of Lubbock and Juanita Velasquez of Uvalde; brothers, Luis Manuel Acosta, David Acosta Jr. and Joe Ben Acosta all of Uvalde; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, David Acosta, Sr. and her first husband, Juan Jose Garza. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Joe Garza, Jr., Johnny Joe Garza III, Cesar Ramirez Joe Ben Acosta, Jr., Miguel Acosta and Rojelio Velsaquez Jr. and Angel Aguallo
