Mary Felice English Hans, 97, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on June 16, 2024 at her residence.
She was born on September 23, 1926 to Tom Anthon and Sally Turk English.
She and her sisters grew up on the Finley Ranch where their father worked.
Mary married Jack Hans on April 20, 1975. She worked as a secretary for Dr. LaForge and at Quality Ready Mix. She was an avid quilter and prayer warrior. She was affectionately know by her family as "Honeybee" and "BeBe". She deeply loved her family and friends.
Hans is survived by her son, Roger Berry (Sharon) of Uvalde, Texas; three grandchildren, Kathie Brown of Kerrville, Texas, Jennie Mills (Len) of Center Point, Texas, and William O'Rell Berry of Uvalde, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Levi (Julie) Mills, Lexi Mills, and Blake Mills and Jake (Tiffany) Valenzuela and Aaron Valenzuela; two great-great-grandsons, James Valenzuela and Sage Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two children, Robert O'Rell Berry Jr. and Rebecca Brown, and three sisters, Effie Bingham, Tommie Arthur, and Margaret Renfro.
Viewing will begin on Thursday, June 20, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Len Mills, William Berry, Levi Mills, Blake Mills. and Tom Allen Bingham
