On Friday, April 17, Mary Elizabeth Hernandez, loving daughter, sister, and friend passed away at age 66. Born in Austin, Texas on August 2, 1953, to Victor and Louisa Hernandez, she earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in 1975 and was a long-time resident of Dallas County.
Mary had a zest for life, an infectious smile, a kind heart and spirit. Mary enjoyed plays, reading, writing poetry, and good meals with family and friends; mostly, she was passionate about reading. She treasured the written word so much she authored a children's book titled: The Parade Goes On.
